# From zero to product market fit at Origin

I joined Origin in February 2019, in the company first year. I left in July 2021, one month before they announced the US$ 56M Series B.

In between we built a financial wellness platform from scratch: a frontend architecture that held several product teams at once, real time portfolio visualization wired to multiple financial APIs, and a component library with more than 90% test coverage that became the base of the whole product.

## What I learned about early stage

Product market fit is not a meeting, it is a sequence of things you build and tear down. The technical work that survives is the work built to be replaced.
